I didn't know, retirement was going to kill me. I knew i loved my job and was the source of friendships, structure and purpose in my life. I thought it would be what everyone has claimed it was. Happy ever after.? I suffer with horrible regret, guilt and apathy now. Its caused unbearable stress, insomnia, anxiety and severe depression. I hate myself for foolishly leaving the job I loved. Depression is unbearable 😞

I strongly encourage you to reach out for professional support to help you recover from the depression. With the right help, and given time, you will come through this and get better. Life will get better. 💖

I feel so destroyed, only I can feel and know. I've never felt this level of depression, anxiety, fear.. ever before. It somehow has taken my interests in everything away. I can't enjoy every the simple things I used to. Also, the extreme stress, sleep deprivation has damaged my eyesight, my vision went very bad. 😢..It's like nothing has any meaning. I also don't feel happiness, or pleasure?.. I used to really enjoy working out at the gym everyday, and swim everyday before work. Now I don't do anything. It's like my work was my inspiration for everything I did. Hobbies included. ... Thank you again for your meditations, and caring for me. Thank you Linda 🫶 I was traumatized. I couldn't handle. The mental breakdown has paralyzed me. Depression is so severe. My physical health is declining, along with my eyesight. Life is torture. I want it to end asap. Debilitating suffering is unbearable. .... i used to love my life, and was grateful for everything.

Linda when all you know is abandonment and pain your thoughts race and there is so many that you can’t function. I understand that our thoughts and traumatic emotions are trapped in our bodies. I feel it’s either all the racing thoughts or distractions to help. The physical pain that we experience is so severe that you want the physical pain to cease and then you have to deal with the thoughts. It’s so much work when you have never dealt with it in a healthy way. I have hit complete burnout. It’s a very lonely place to be and I am so grateful for your videos. They help me with grounding myself to try and get some rest and digest. Thank you so much ☺️

What should I do,Linda, when I have a neighbour smoking strong sigarets many times during the night keeping me awake most of the night. I am and have been at my sickest with my M.E. every single day. I have tried neerly everything to make him stop smoking at night, but he does not respect and/or listen to anything . Neither does he respect rules. I am so unhappy.
I'm really sorry to hear about your situation making you so unhappy Rikke. If your neighbour isn't open to listening to you, why not try and get someone to speak to him on your behalf. 💖

That was fantastic and just what I needed to remind myself of my body as my first and most important point of reference. In this meditation I saw some image of colors like blooming clouds coming in. It was a peaceful image that made me feel supported.

I love that you shared your experience! Recently I have gravitated to your meditations. I used to eschew guided meditation thinking I needed to do it in my own. But recently I’ve gotten out of the habit and felt I wanted some more assistance. Your voice and words (and that you don’t overly guide the listener) have made me feel so welcome and comfortable. Knowing how you learned through a book and kept the skills throughout your life makes me realize how natural of of this is to you. Thank you for sharing your gifts.

Linda, is this best done sitting or lying down? I did it lying down and could feel my heart pounding off and on based on how my mind wandered. Luckily I got several minutes of pure calm which was such a lovely and unique experience.
Either sitting up or lying down is fine Nik. The experience of each will be different so it's worth experimenting with both and finding what works best for you. As a rule, meditating lying down is a more relaxing, restful experience. Sitting up tends to be more grounding and present. It's wonderful to hear that you had several minutes of pure calm.💖
This meditation cause me immense pain over imagining what I want to be and knowing that is not possible.. It causes me so much stress and sadness. I’m not criticizing I’m just saying how I feel. I wish I could get some positive thoughts from this but imagining myself strong and happy and healthy cause me so much heartache. I wish everyone listening to heal!
